It’s About More than a Number on the Scale

We are less than a month into the new year and even though you may have decided to eat healthier and get more exercise, you may not be seeing the scale move. Or it might not be moving fast enough. Don’t we all want to “do” the healthy thing for a couple days, reach our goal, and be done with it? Unfortunately, that is not how it works. You are creating a healthy lifestyle. Don’t get discouraged, the scale is just one measurement tool.
Consider also tracking some of these non-scale victories:
- Healthier, faster growing hair
- Stronger nails
- Clearer skin
- Fewer headaches
- Less joint pain
- Better quality sleep
- More mental clarity
- Improved digestion
- Lost inches
- Better fitting clothes
- More energy
- Improved mobility
Choose which of these metrics you will use to measure your progress and celebrate those successes no matter how small….after all health is about more than a number!
